Catch Your Own Trout

About:

We offer you the oppurtunity to catch your own trout on our trout fishing ponds, ideal for kids and family days out.

We have two trout ponds on site both offering something slightly different depending on your level of skill.

Trout Pond 1

Trout pond 1 is available for use by everybody looking to experience catching their own fish! You’re guaranteed to catch and its great fun for people of all ages. All you need to bring along is yourself, we supply all the tackle, bait and rods to enable you to fish successfully.

Once you’ve succeeded in catching your fish you can take them to the farm shop where a member of staff can clean, gut and prepare them for your supper.

Cost:

The cost of fishing is £3.00 and the fish you catch are charged at £7.99 per kilo.

Trout Pond 2

Trout pond 2 is for the more experienced fishermen, this pond is separated in a fenced off enclosure and is limited to 4 people at any one time. The fish in this pond are much bigger and we insist that you provide your own rod and reel to fish on this pond.

Cost:

£5 per person and the fish you catch are charged at £7.99 per kilo. (Limited rod and reel hire is available, please enquire).

Frog Island Fishery

About:

On site at Tillingbourne Trout Farm you’ll find Frog Island Fishery. The lake is a one acre coarse fishery set in beautiful and peaceful surroundings, sheltered from the rest of the site. The lake is extremely well stocked with carp, bream, roach, rudd, perch and tench. The fishery benefits from being fed water from natural springs, hence it fishes well in winter and extremely well in summer. The largest fish reported so far this year is a mirror carp weighing 23.5 pounds and a common carp weighing in just under 16 pounds. Also this year match weights have reached the 100 pound barrier.

Access:

Frog Island Fishery is ideal for the elderly or disabled, offering on site parking right next to the water.

Availability:

The lake is available for day ticket fishing, night fishing, private functions or matches.

Costs:

Adults: £10 up to 2 rods

Concessions: £8 up to 2 rods

Night Fishing: £25 for 24 hours, prior arrangement only.

Facilities:

On site toilet, hot and cold drinks, parking, lunches and breakfast available from the farm shop.

Security:

We are very strict with security at Tillingbourne Trout Farm. As the lake is on site we insist that all anglers report to the farm shop before fishing (unless before 10.30am where you will need to ring for access) and that all gates are locked behind you to ensure your security and security of the premises. Do not give the gate access code out to any other angler.
